Work Order Types

A Work Order Type is a Type that you can specify to categorize/organize your work orders and filter them.


Creating New Work Order Types

How to create a new Work Order Type:

  1. Navigate to Settings.
  2. Click on Work Order Types from the Maintenance settings.
  3. Click New Work Order Type.
  4. Enter in a new Work Order Type.

Tip: Once you've created your Work Order Types you can set one to be your Default type so that data-entry is quicker. Learn more here.

Deleting Work Order Types

How to delete a Work Order Type:

  1. Navigate to Settings.
  2. Click on Work Order Types from the Maintenance settings.
  3. Click the button next to the Work Order Type you want to delete.

Note: When you delete a Work Order Type that is being used by Records, you have the option to select a replacement Work Order Type for the records using that Type.

Editing Work Order Types

How to edit a Work Order Type:

  1. Navigate to Settings.
  2. Click on Work Order Types from the Maintenance settings.
  3. Click on the Work Order Type you wish to rename.
  4. Enter a new name for the Work Order Type.
